afte some epic drives over some truly horrific "roads" .. muddy potholed flooded and populated with crazy lorry/bus/goat drivers we have made it to the finish line, tara plague hotel situated right on a paraditic beach (paraditic.. i think i just made that word up) palm trees white sand the atlantic, plus fantastic fresh sea food ...just heavenly! and i even got to put on the clean clothes i had been saving from the start. happiness = clean clothes. did i mention heaven?

i would tell you all about how fantastic the celebrations were that evening, but to be honest my memory of them is a little hazy. oh but i do remember the crazy native dancing. i'm also worrying that there may be photo and video evidence of this. i can take the shame.

we have now left kribi and are in douala, manic sweaty exhausting capital city, its a fun but dangerous place (some other teams have had some probs  with muggings) and have managed to organise some (bank crippling) flights home for monday; hmm 5 days to kill... back to the beach me thinks.

oh and our cars are being auctioned for charity tomorrow. the panda has been washed and has returned to its super beautiful shiny and incredibly colourful state. ( for the last 5 weeks it had been becoming a progressively even shade of mud brown). our panda has been valued at 300 pounds... which is really amazing seeing as we only bought it for 100. Really hope it sells at a decent price tomorrow as it would be great to get some good charity money out of it, fingers crossed!
